Welcome to the homepage of the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. We have information about hunting seasons, fishing locations, Arkansas wildlife viewing areas and many animals that call Arkansas home. If it swims, flies, runs or crawls in The Natural State, here is where you can learn all about it.

With Arkansas wildlife, such as the black bear, wild turkey, elk and more than one million white-tailed deer, the Arkansas outdoors offer a haven for big-game hunters. Millions of squirrels, rabbits and furbearers make the Arkansas outdoors a natural for small-game hunters as well. Since it lies in the Mississippi Flyway, Arkansas is famous for its excellent waterfowl hunting and is known as "The duck hunting capital of the world."

Arkansas is an angler's paradise and is home to several world-record fish, including brown trout, walleye and hybrid bass. In addition to fantastic striped and black bass fishing, anglers can try for catfish, crappie and bream throughout the state. If you like fishing cold water, try your luck on one of our award-winning trout streams. Rainbow, brown, brook and cutthroat trout can be caught year-round in Arkansas.

Don't forget to sign up for our free e-newsletters. These newsletters reveal where the fish are biting, what is happening across the state and current hunting, fishing, boating and Arkansas wildlife viewing. They call Arkansas The Natural State for a reason. Get out and enjoy it at its best.
