The Bald Knob School District is located in a rural farming area in north-central Arkansas. Covering 178 square miles. With an enrollment of approximately 1350 students, Bald Knob ranks 84th in size among the 312 school districts in Arkansas. The school's organizational structure consists of a K-4 elementary, 5-8 middle school, and 9-12 high school. A state-licensed daycare center is located on the campus.

The school district employs approximately 100 professional staff. Included in that number are a federal programs coordinator, speech and language pathologist, registered nurse, gifted and talented coordinator, and technology coordinator who serve all three schools.

Daily route mileage for the district's school buses is 178 miles with approximately seventy-five percent of the student enrollment being transported.

The school is connected to the Arkansas Public School Computer Network. Connection with APSCN significantly increases our students' opportunity to experience a global education through access to the Internet. Internet connections are available to teachers and students in every classroom. Media center labs and classroom labs provide access for group instruction.

As with many small communities, the school is not only the center for learning, but also the center for community service and cultural affairs. Bald Knob Schools serve the educational, social, and sometimes personal needs of the community--pre-school to retirement.
